Review of Homegoing
Absolutely stunning work of art. Entertaining, informative, touching, and thought provoking. Perhaps this resonated well with me partly because I have visited Ghana and I was able to imagine the scenery with all its detail. I found especially interesting the early parts of the book depicting the slave trade from Ghanaians perspective. This is something that I had not come across earlier. Also, the structure of book, intertwining eight generations on two continents, was simply fascinating.
This is the kind of book that should be a mandatory reading in high schools. (Future) classic without a doubt.
